This is a six part documentary series looking at the work of ‘bionic vet’ Noel Fitzpatrick. At his multi million pound state of the art centre in Surrey, Noel is pioneering revolutionary new surgical techniques to save and improve the lives of thousands of pets from all over the country. He is a medical engineer, rebuilding animals using a whole range of metal structures, nuts, bolts, implants and groundbreaking procedures.

For many of the animals referred to him, he’s their last hope.

Wildlife SOS International’ was born out of the success of ‘Wildlife SOS’ (see below).

Travelling all over the world, this diverse and colourful series follows the adventures of British wildlife Rescuer, Simon Cowell, as he traverses the globe, meeting other like-minded wildlife experts to experience their incredible, often dangerous, work, firsthand. Witnessing the horrors of canned lion hunting, animal tourism and the Australian bush fires; along the way, Simon also investigates the plight of endangered or threatened species, and questions the ethics behind Mankind’s continual destruction of our native habitat.

Locations have included: Zambia, South Africa, Thailand, America and Australia.

Wildlife SOS is a one of the longest running documentary wildlife shows in history. This high rating series (now in its ninth) has been running since 1996 and can be found in the UK on Animal planet, Dmax, ITV and Five. It’s also transmitted in 23 other countries. The show follows the work of Wildlife Aid a charity dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of all British Wildlife.

The two main stars of the series are Simon Cowell (founder of the charity) and head vet nurse Sara Cowan.
